Julie Fox's Obituary
Julie Ann Fox, daughter of Sjur and A nna (Sagdalen) Nygaard, was born October 11, 1933, in Garretson, South Dakota. She departed this life Saturday, November 15, 2008, in her home in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years, one month, and fourteen days. On January 11, 1952, Julie was united in marriage to James “Jim” William Fox, and to this union a son and a daughter were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Gladys Crockett. Julie is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-seven years, Jim, of the home; a son, Leonard Fox and his wife, Laurie, of Bradenton, Florida; a daughter, Anita Bohnenkamp and her husband, Wayne, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two grandsons, Daniel Bohnenkamp and his wife, Nancy, and Lee Bohnenkamp, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri; one great-granddaughter, Belle Bohnenkamp, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. She was born in Garretson, South Dakota, and grew up in Lyons. After she and Jim were married, they moved to Cortez, Colorado, for two years and then to their farm in Colman, South Dakota. In l977, they moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, and in l980 to Seymour to a farm where they raised and sold buffalo. In addition to being a homemaker and farm wife, Julie also worked as a clerk at the Seymour Pharmacy for twenty years. Julie had made her profession of faith in God and was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Mansfield, Missouri. She was a hard worker who took pride in everything that she did. Despite her courageous battle against cancer, she loved being around people and visiting with all her friends. Julie was a kind and loving person who touched the lives of all who knew her. She loved her family and friends very much. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday November 20, 2008 in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Mansfield, Missouri. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery.Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:30-8:00 pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Seymour, Missouri. A memorial has been established to Community Hospices of Missouri or Friends of the Seymour Community Library. Donations may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
