She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and then came to Missouri. After she and Wayne were married, they first made their home in Lebanon and then in Sapulpa, Oklahoma for a few years. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, June worked at the Rice Stix Factory for several years, and then attended Springfield Draughon Business University. She was employed in the procurement department at Fort Leonard Wood for a number of years, retiring in 1990.
June made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a longtime member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon. She was a charter member of the Greenhills Freewill Baptist Church, but had been attending Second Baptist Church for several years, where she enjoyed the friendships and fellowship the congregation offered.
In her spare time she enjoyed making quilts and had shared her creations with family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and liked making special dishes for her family. She loved her home and liked caring for it. She liked watching NASCAR racing and was a big fan of Dale, Jr. Her great delight was her family and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandson.
June was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments, and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
