He departed this life Monday, May 19, 2008, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, and twenty-eight days. On June 1, 1957, he was united in marriage to Betty L. Robie, and together they shared the last fifty-one years. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bertrum, Lloyd, Bill, and Wilburn Turner; and a sister, Edna Anderson. Junior is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; a sister, Maxine Smith, of Buffalo, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Nellie Turner, Hazel Turner, and Helen Turner, all of Buffalo, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in the Buffalo community. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Army. During part of his tour of duty, he was stationed in North Carolina. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he and Betty returned to Buffalo and made their home. Junior began a career as a car salesman, first at Hurd Ford in Buffalo, and later, after he and Betty moved to Lebanon, with Lindsay Chevrolet. His career in sales spanned over forty years. Junior was a member of the River of Life Pentecostal Church in Buffalo, Missouri. He had an out going personality and loved people, which in turn made him a good salesman. He enjoyed playing pool in his spare time and also had an appreciation for old cars; through the years he had restored several. Junior was a loving husband, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends.
