On November 6, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sue Kathryn Davis, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
His parents preceded him in death.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years and seven months, Sue, of the home; a daughter, Brenda Satterfield, and her husband, Danny, of Grovespring, Missouri; a son, Lowell Paul McBride, and his wife, Kristi, of Conway, Missouri; three grandchildren, Trevin, Kason, and Kory; four brothers, Gene McBride, and his wife, Shirley, of Hartville, Missouri, Ernie McBride, and his wife, Glenda, of Conway, Missouri, Jim McBride, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Don McBride, and his wife, Debbie, of Morgan, Missouri; a sister, Kathleen Starnes, and her husband, Larry, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Grovespring community, and then he and Sue made their home on their farm in the Grovespring area. Paul, who was also known as “Fred”, owned and operated a dairy farm for many years, and enjoyed life on the farm.
Paul had made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized along with his son on June 15, 1980, at the New Home Freewill Baptist Church in Wright County, Missouri, by Reverend Ivan Parker.
He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing, riding horses, and coon hunting. He liked his coon dogs and enjoyed his afternoon naps. The great joy in his life came from trading, and he was known for his trading ability. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Memorial donations may be made to McBride Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
