Karen Buttram's Obituary
Karen Coleen Buttram, daughter of Troy Lester and Marilyn Louise (Turner) Hannah, was born July 13, 1953, in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in her home, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of fifty-five years, seven months, and five days.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Karen is survived by two sons, Terry Moore, and his wife, Stephanie, of Hartville, Missouri, and Chad Moore, of St. Joseph, Missouri; a daughter, Shadeana Moore, of Shady Grove, Oregon; three grandchildren, Kendra Hipps, Marrisa Moore, and Keyton Moore; her mother, Marilyn Hannah, of Seymour, Missouri; two brothers, Steve Hannah, and his wife, Donna, of Seymour, Missouri, and Johnny Hannah, and his wife, Ruth, of Hartville, Missouri; two sisters, Tami Minear, and her husband, Wes, of Seymour, Missouri, and Toni Peterka, and her husband, David, of Diggins, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She grew up in Seymour and was a graduate of Seymour High School. After graduation she moved to Oklahoma and then to Hartville, Missouri, before making her home in Mountain Grove in 2002.
She centered her life on her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed watching television and drinking coca-cola.
Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date for Mrs. Karen Buttram. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
