Karen Harrelson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Karen Harrelson, daughter of Everett F. and Mercedes Severa Groesbeck, was born September 24, 1955, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She departed this life Friday, August 13, 2021, in her daughter’s home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, ten months, and twenty days.
On April 26, 1995, she was united in marriage to Carrol B. Harrelson and they shared the last twenty-six years of laughter and memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jack Groesbeck.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Carrol, of the home; a daughter Sabrina Brandstetter, and her husband, Doug, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Shane Miller, and his wife, Janis, of Burleson, Texas; three grandchildren, Mercedes, Serenity, and Douglas; a brother, Larry Groesbeck, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and then lived in several places with her family, eventually settling in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Through the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She and Carrol had made their home in Texas, Mississippi, and Colorado before moving to Lebanon, Missouri.
Karen was very spiritual, had a strong faith in God, and practiced what she believed.
She loved gaming, playing chess and watching movies. She liked to travel and seeing new places. The times she loved the most were spent with her family. She especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Arlington, Texas.
