Karen Henderson's Obituary
Karen Sue Henderson, daughter of Glen Edward and Hattie Louise Southard Sanders, was born April 19, 1947, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, March 13, 2010, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, ten months, and twenty-four days. On April 13, 1986, she was united in marriage to Virgil L. Henderson and they shared the last twenty-three years. Her parents preceded her in death. Karen is survived by her husband, Virgil, of the home; two sons, Randy Snow, and his wife, Angela, and Jim Snow, and his wife, Tonya, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Teresa Tiner, of Little Rock, Arkansas; four granddaughters, Whitney Snow, Brittni Morgan, Rylee Snow, and Falon Tiner; three grandsons, Dylan Snow, Zack Morgan, and Evan Tiner; a great-grandson, Austin Gage Tiner; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Russ community, and then lived most of her adult years in the Lebanon area. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Karen also worked for the H. D. Lee Company for a few years, and then was employed by Justice Furniture Manufacturing Company for over thirty years. Karen was saved and baptized at the Orla Baptist Church early in her life. She also raised Pomeranian and Yorkie dogs and was a member of the American Kennel Club, the American Canine Association, and America’s Pet Registry, Inc. She was a “Preferred Breeder” with the American Kennel Club, and had been recognized by the Hunts Corporation for the “Litter of the Week” award two different times. Karen loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Among her families’ favorite memories of times spent with Karen are the camping, fishing and hunting trips, and the wonderful meals with all the family gathered at their home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 16, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday evening 6-7:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
