Karen Henry's Obituary
Karen Ann Henry, daughter of Luther E. and Mary Ann Duren Wallace, was born May 22, 1971, in Fairfax, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, October 20, 2009, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of thirty-eight years, four months, and twenty-eight days. Her mother preceded her in death. Karen is survived by a son, Michael Henry, of Lebanon, Missouri; her father, Luther Wallace, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; four brothers, Leroy Wallace, and his wife, Jennifer, Ricky Wallace, and his wife, Alice, Albert Wallace, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Terry McIntosh, of the State of Iowa; a sister, Norma Lewis, and her husband, Bobby, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Mansfield, Missouri community and attended school there. She then made her home in Lebanon, where she lovingly raised her son. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Karen also worked as a waitress at the Western Sizzlin Steak House for thirteen years. She was a very polite and caring waitress who especially enjoyed serving the senior citizen customers. Karen had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Community Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors, particularly on the river. She was a very thoughtful and polite person who was always willing to help others. Her family was very important to her and she was especially close to her son. Karen was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she made for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 23, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday evening 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
