Karen Lynn Trenary (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Karen Lynn Trenary, nee Rose, age 66, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on April 20th, 2017, after a short illness.
Karen Trenary was the daughter of Lloyd C. and Nola Rose Bunch, and was born on July 1st, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. As a teenager, her father was transferred to Corona, CA, where she graduated from Corona High School. After high school, she followed her family’s move back to Missouri, this time to Springfield. There she was able to secure her dream job of working at the bank. Later, while working for Tracker Boats, she met Jim Trenary and they were married in 1990. Soon thereafter, they made their home in Bolivar, MO, on Lake Pomme de Terre.
Karen is survived by her brother Lloyd Rose and his wife Connie of Claremore, OK, her sister Pat Hulsey of Columbia, MO, her sister-in-law Marilyn of Bolivar, MO, her step-daughters, Sharon Livingston of Springfield, MO, and Julie Hodges and her husband Charles, of Clovis, NM; grandchildren Duncan and Eli Livingston of Springfield, MO and Jonathan, Catherine, and Nathaniel Hodges of Clovis, NM, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Karen was devoted to her family and grandchildren and will be remembered for her quick wit, her sense of humor, hard-working spirit, and love of family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar. Memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Al Geil officiating. Reception to follow at the Community Rooms of Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Preferred Family Healthcare, the organization that takes care of Karen’s sister-in-law Marilyn. Their address is P.O. Box 1277, Springfield, MO 65801.
