Karl Bryan Nunn's Obituary
Karl Bryan Nunn, son of Frank Calvin and Audrey Adelia Johnson Nunn, was born September 14, 1933, in Dighton, Oklahoma. He departed this life Monday, May 1, 2006, in St. John’s Regional Health Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, seven months, and seventeen days. On September 15, 1978, he was united in marriage to Marie Anne Kuchnicki and together they have spent the past twenty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother. Karl is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home; two sons, Frank Nunn, and his wife, Lucy, and Bryan Nunn, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two daughters, Theresa Tuttle, and her husband, Jeffery, of Tucson, Arizona, and Marijean Shipley, and her husband, Shawn, of Dora, Missouri; five grandchildren, Justin, Tabitha, Jaime, Dalton, and Andre; two brothers, R.L. Nunn, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jerry Nunn, and his wife, Darlene, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sister, Edith Winchester, and her husband, James, of Clovis, California; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Oklahoma, and graduated from Morris High School. He then entered the United States Army, and faithfully served his country from September 15, 1953 until September 30, 1961. After being honorably discharged, he moved back to Morris, Oklahoma, where he worked for a paint store. He later was employed by a furniture store and was transferred to Albuquerque where he lived for twenty-seven years. He then moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona, where he remained for five years and started his own furniture refinishing company. In the early ninety’s, he and Marie moved to the Ozarks. They opened their home and their heart to children in need of a loving home. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of Mountain Grove, where he enjoyed his church fellowship. In his spare time he greatly enjoyed working in his garden, snorkeling, and loved to travel. Karl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mountain Grove, Missouri. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
