Kathleen Bramhall's Obituary
Kathleen Charlotte Bramhall, daughter of Omar Newton and Ona Mae Chambers Young, was born February 22, 1917, in Wright County, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age ninety-two years, two months, and six days. On March 6, 1937, she was united in marriage to Walter Ramon Bramhall, and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ramon, on June 26, 1989; and a daughter, Ginger Ann McLemore. Kathleen is survived by a daughter, Peggy Bramhall Macdonald, and her husband, Robert, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Linda Macdonald Gomez, Robert Macdonald, IV, Kyle Macdonald, Tyson Macdonald, and Lee Ann McLemore; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brianna, Robbie, and Everest; three brothers, Russell Newton Young, of St. Louis, Missouri, Thomas Young, of Hartville, Missouri, and John Young, of St. Charles, Missouri; four sisters, Ila Mae Venable, and Sally Amos, both of Lebanon, Missouri, Alma Headley, of Richland, Missouri, and Alice Royster, of Arroyo Grande, California; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Wright County, Missouri, and attended the Cold Water School. After she and Ramon were married, they made their home on their farm in Wright County and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Kathleen also worked side by side with her husband in the operation of their cattle and crop farm. In the late 1970’s, she and Ramon sold their farm and moved near Lebanon, and Kathleen worked as a nurse’s aide at Breech Medical Center for several years. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time in Pasadena, California, with her daughter and grandchildren and liked attending the Rose Bowl Parade. Kathleen was a member of the United Church of God. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and hooking rugs. She also liked working word search and jigsaw puzzles. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters. Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday April 30, 2009 in the Holman-Howe Funeral home in Lebanon. Burial will be in Cold Water Cemetery near Hartville, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm on Thursday until time of service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
