Kathryn was the daughter of a pastor’s family and as such, they lived in several towns throughout Southwest Missouri. She graduated from Strafford High School and was married to David Stine. To this union, three sons were born. They spent several years in Wyoming where David was working.
At the age of seven, Kathryn became a Christian and committed her life to Christ. She attended Sac River Cowboy Church.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David in 2010; and a son, John Stine.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Stine and his wife, Pam and Jeff Stine, all of Belton, Missouri; two sisters, Roseann Blunt of Springfield, Missouri and Linda Morris, of Strafford, Missouri; a brother, Mark Ray and his wife, Pam of Belton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Dane and Clay and two great-grandchildren, Freyja and Theo.
In 2014, Kathryn moved back to Strafford where she enjoyed reconnecting with friends she had grown up with in Marionville, Missouri. During that time, she was a dedicated care-giver to her mother. Through the years she was a homemaker and worked at Dairy Queen for a time.
Kathryn was very talented at quilting. She made quilts for family and friends, quilts they will cherish for years to come. She was very creative and was a wonderful seamstress. If you needed something made, Kathryn could most likely make it for you.
She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The legacy she leaves behind for her family will be remembered and no doubt they will remember the special times they spent with her.
Services will be private with immediate family.
A memorial has been established in Kathryn’s name to Sac River Cowboy Church, 2328 N. Farm Road 101, Springfield, Missouri 65802. Donations may be made at the funeral home or sent directly to the church.
