Kathy Black's Obituary
Katherine Marie Black, daughter of David Francis Gander and Willa Faye Noe Powell, was born December 23, 1955, in Denver, Colorado. She departed this life Sunday, August 23, 2009, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty-three years and eight months. Survivors include her children, Willa Brown and James Jr. Brown both of Camdenton, Missouri, and John Brown and wife, Danielle, of Olsburg, Kansas; two grandchildren, Faith and Secret Bleam; her father, David Gander and wife, Betty, of Montreal, Missouri; her mother, Willa Faye Powell, of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Donald Gander and wife, Lorrie, of Eagle Lake, Texas; a nephew, Darrell Gander and wife, Tylor; a niece, Amanda Grigsby and husband, Brandon; and a great-niece, Morgan Leigh; as well as other relatives and many friends. Kathy was raised in Kansas and Missouri. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area in 1995. She worked as a cook for Tan-Tar-A for many years. She made a profession of faith and was a member of Pentecostals of Camdenton In her spare time she enjoyed crafts such as crocheting, beading, bracelets and painting. She was an Elvis Presley fan and collected Elvis memorabilia. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Allee- Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial in the Montreal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am until time of service under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Pentecostals of Camdenton.
