Kathy Mae Macal (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Kathy Mae Macal, daughter of Milburn and Mary Woolsey Lawson, was born September 17, 1950, near Niangua, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, November 30, 2013, in San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, California, at the age of sixty-three years, two months, and thirteen days.
On October 19, 1995, she was united in marriage to Paul N. Macal, and they shared the last nineteen years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Don and Burlin Lawson.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; a son, Richard Cheeseman, of Springfield, Missouri; a grandchild, Hanon; a sister, Joyce Lawson, of Lebanon, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, and cousins and many friends.
She was raised in the Falcon community and attended Fairview School. She graduated from Lebanon High School and then served in the United States Army for a few years. After being honorably discharged from the Army, she made her home in the St. Louis area. In 1979, she began working as a truck driver and she and Paul had driven for Fed Ex for the last nine years. Kathy and Paul had made their home in Lebanon for several years.
Kathy had followed the Baptist faith throughout her life, and was always willing to do anything to help someone.
She enjoyed fishing, riding horses, shooting guns, and watching NASCAR. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and especially with her grandchild.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations to the New Home Cemetery and may be made through the funeral home.
