Kathy Payne's Obituary
Katherine Marie “Kathy” Payne, daughter of Edward James and Oleta May Yarbrough Payne, was born November 6, 1949, in Clarksville, Arkansas. She departed this life Thursday, December 11, 2008, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, one month, and five days. She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Rose Douthit. Kathy is survived by two daughters, Katrina Starnes, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Teresa Sein, of Springfield, Missouri; three granddaughters; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; her mother, Oleta Payne, of Farmington, Arkansas; a brother, John Payne, of Gravette, Arkansas; three sisters, Sue Payne, of Farmington, Arkansas, Darcy Smith, and her husband, Rick, of Hindsville, Arkansas, and Rita Damiana, and her husband, A.A., of Tehachapi, California; several nieces and nephews; a close friend and companion, J.C. Williams, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Arkansas. She married as a young lady, and made her home in Arkansas for a few years. She then moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where she lovingly raised her daughters. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Kathy also worked as a waitress for several years. Kathy had made her profession of faith in Christ and had established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and also was an avid reader. She was an outgoing person with a light-hearted personality and generally loved all people. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2008 at Mt. Rose Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will follow service.Entombment will be in the Mt. Rose Mausoleum under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon.
