Kathy Ann Wade(Lebanon)'s Obituary
Kathy Ann (Carter) Wade was born August 25, 1940, Carthage, Indiana to Eddie and Louise (Brooks) Carter. She passed to her eternal home on Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Lebanon, Missouri. She was eighty-three years and nine months of age.
Kathy spent her early years in New Castle, Indiana before moving with her family to White Springs, Florida. Following her graduation from White Springs, she moved to Miami, Florida where she was employed by an airline.
It was in Miami she met the love of her life, Donnie E. Wade. They were married on November 7, 1959 and to this union, two sons were born, Timothy and Terry. Kathy and Don shared fifty-two years of love and memories before his passing in 2012.
In 1964, she and her family moved to Missouri where she obtained a position at Bendix Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri. While in the Kansas City area, she obtained her Associates degree from Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She retired from Bendix in 1992. Kathy and Don moved to Lebanon in 1994.
Kathy accepted Christ as her Savior in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri where she sang in the choir. Missions were very important to Kathy and she participated in mission trips with First Baptist Church to Germany and the Laclede Baptist Association to South Dakota. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Don; and two sisters, Jeannien Younce and Carol Rust.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Timothy Wade of Everett, Washington and Terry Wade and his wife Cathy of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brandon Wade and his wife Jessica of Stoutland, Missouri and Blair (Wade) Sien and her husband Dylan of Lebanon, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Tony Reed, William Wade, June Wade and Waylon Wade; and many other relatives and friends who will greatly miss her.
Kathy was a wonderful person who loved to laugh and help others. She was loving and kind and enjoyed being with her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing her laughter, and many hugs and kisses with each one.
Throughout her life, Kathy was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.
We celebrate her life and accomplishments and know that her family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories she made for them.
