Kay Cinkosky's Obituary
ay Frances Cinkosky, daughter of Norbert and Frances Morrison Pederson, was born April 5, 1938, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She departed this life Friday, April 25, 2008, at her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, and twenty days. On August 4, 1956, she was united in marriage to Martin W. Cinkosky, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roger; and a sister, Phyllis. Kay is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Martin, of the home; three sons, Randy Cinkosky, and his wife, Jaxine, of Lebanon, Missouri, Richard Cinkosky, and his wife, Lisa, of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Robert Cinkosky, and his wife, Heather, of Nixa, Missouri; a daughter, Lori Mulrenin, and her husband, Bob, of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Pederson, and his wife, Kathy, of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a sister, Kathleen Dhooge, of Anderson, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin and graduated from Waukesha High School. After she and Martin were married, they continued to make their home in Waukesha until moving to Lebanon, Missouri in 1978. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and loving mother, Kay also helped her husband in the operation of their two motels, Forest Manor and Brentwood Motel. They managed the Forest Manor for seven years and the Brentwood Motel for ten years, retiring in 1992. Since retiring, Kay and Martin enjoyed traveling in their motor home and were members of several motor home clubs. They made many good friends through their travels and enjoyed spending time with them. Kay always enjoyed playing games of all kinds and particularly liked dominos and card games. She possessed a delightful sense of humor and a keen mind for knowledge. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Visitation will follow the service. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to the Curry Cancer Center may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
