Keith Anderson (Hartville)'s Obituary
Our beloved Keith “Norwood” Anderson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 58 years young. He was born September 4, 1960 to Charles and Wilma (Wagoner) Anderson in Fort Wayne, IN, but always considered Missouri to be his home.
His first love was God, as he was lovingly known by his friends as the Barefoot Deacon. He was saved at a young age and placed high value in everyone knowing Christ as their Savior. His second love was his daughters. He was never too busy to reach out, visit, or come to their rescue at any moment. It is after he had grandkids that he discovered his true passion and niche: being Grandpa Keith/Papa to Zach and Laila. The sun rose and set in their eyes for him, and the feeling will be forever mutual.
By trade he was a dump-truck driver, however, from a young age, he knew his true calling in life was to care for God’s creation in the best way he knew how: farming. He looked forward to walking fence lines, checking cattle, bush-hogging, baling hay, cutting thistles, and anything else that could keep him active outdoors. On most any given Sunday afternoon he could be found hand-feeding cookies to his cows…and maybe sneaking a bite or two for himself.
Many that knew him have described him as generous with his time and compassion, considerate of all others, thinking lastly of himself. He was wise beyond years in just about any topic and served as his daughters’ personal GPS. To say he was hard-working is a true understatement. He spent every waking moment checking on the farm, his girls, grandkids, friends, as well as anyone who was blessed to cross his path.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma Anderson, sister, Donna Anderson, brother Larry and his wife, Ann Anderson; two daughters, Crystal and husband Shane Sullins, along with Leslie and husband Kyle Montee. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Zach Sullins and Laila Montee. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles.
As beautiful as flowers are, Keith was HIGHLY allergic, so we are requesting all donations be directed to Bethel Cemetery. He would greatly appreciate it.
The family is truly blessed with all thoughts, prayers, and kind words. We would like to thank each of you for your support during this time.
