Keith Carella's Obituary
eith Alan Carella, son of Victor L. and Glenda M. Johnson Carella, was born July 24, 1971, in San Francisco, California. He departed this life Friday, December 26, 2008, in Vacaville, California, at the age of thirty-seven years, five months, and two days. On December 17, 2004, in Napa Valley, California, he was united in marriage to Mindy Carol Durbin, and to this union two sons were born. His mother preceded him in death. Keith is survived by his wife, Mindy, of the home; two sons, four year old Brandon Carella, and sixteen month old Jeremiah Carella, both of the home; his father, Victor Carella, and his wife, Julie, of Oxnard, California; his twin brother, Kevin Carella, and his wife, Shannon, of Vacaville, California; A sister Kameron Vachuska & her husband Michael of Roseville, California two nieces, Brittney Carella; and Isabella Vachuska; a nephew, Andrew Carella; his mother-in-law, Minnie Durbin, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in California and was raised in various locations while his father was in the military. In 1986, the family settled in the Bay area of California, where Keith graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield, California, in the Class of 1989. He then attended the Wyoming Technical Institute where he was trained to be an auto body technician with a specialist in auto painting. For the next several years he worked for different automobile repair businesses in the Bay area. After marrying Mindy in 2004, they decided to move to Missouri in July of 2005. They made their home in Lebanon, Missouri, and lovingly began raising their two sons. Keith continued to work in auto body repair and was currently employed by Starnes Auto Glass. He was an avid body builder and enjoyed weight lifting and working out on a daily basis. He was a true San Francisco Forty-niners fan and also liked bicycling with his boys and going fishing. Cars were always a special part of his life and he took great pride in his work and restorative talents. Keith was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday January 3, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Visitation will follow the service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
