Keith Jones' Obituary
Keith Wayne Jones was born in Springfield Missouri and departed this life on August 22nd, 2011 in Springfield Missouri.
Keith grew up in the Grovespring Missouri area and graduated high school from Mansfield Missouri in 1971.He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age while attending vacation Bible School at Elk Creek Church. At the time of his death, he resided in Springfield Missouri.
After graduating from High School, Keith became a very good mechanic and spent a great deal of time as a diesel mechanic for various trucking companies before developing a heart condition that left him unable to continue in that profession.
He was an avid fisherman who loved to be out on the lake with friends and family. It was here he made many new friends and acquaintances while fishing tournaments and talking about fishing. Most Friday nights during the summer, you could probably find Keith on the water fishing a tournament with his good friend Al Carter. Another hobby that Keith loved was taking care of his garden and tending to his Cannas lilies and roses at his house. It wasn’t until later in his life that Keith found out he actually did have a green thumb for growing things. And grow things he did. His yard and the garden in the summer were beautiful, which was something he took great pride in. Many of us will continue to remember Keith from all of the lily bulbs he gave to many of his friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred E. Jones.
He leaves his loving mother Lucille Jones of Springfield Missouri, his brother Gary Jones and wife Lois of Kimberling City Missouri, his sister Lynette Arnall and her husband Rich of Hartville Missouri, his daughter Machelle Jones of Springfield Missouri, along with his dearly beloved granddaughters Taylar Waite and Makayla Nobles, along with nephews Ryan and Brett and niece Nicole.
Keith was a loving Daddy, son, brother, Granddad, uncle and friend. All who knew him will miss him greatly.
