Keith I. MacDonald (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Keith Irving MacDonald, son of Russell MacDonald, Sr. and Florence White MacDonald, was born May 11, 1926, in Milford, Massachusetts. He departed this life Sunday, December 3, 2017, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, six months, and twenty-two days.
On April 17, 1959, he was united in marriage to Ann T. Brown, and to this union four daughters and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Brian Marley; three grandchildren, Christopher, Tiffany, and Jessica; and a brother, Russell MacDonald.
Keith is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Ann, of the home; four daughters, Karen Harris, and her husband, George, of Windsor, Vermont, Kim Lague, and her husband, Ray, of Lebanon, Missouri, Kelle Foland, and her husband, Kurt, of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Kerrie Marley, of Noblesville, Indiana; a son, Kevin MacDonald, of Modesto, California; fifteen grandchildren, Krista, Shauna, Melissa, Keith, Monica, Douglas, Matthew, Nicole, David, Brandon, Krisdon, Precious, Dylan, Tricia, and Travis; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Daye and Janet Eager, both of the State of Maine; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Milford, Massachusetts, and attended school there. He then entered the military at the age of sixteen, serving first in the United States Navy, the Army Air Corps, and then transferring to the United States Air Force. He took part in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam War during his twenty-five year career in the military. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant on January 31, 1967. During his tours of duty, the family lived in England, North Carolina, South Carolina, and California. He retired at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. Keith then worked as a Golf Pro and also sold insurance for several years. The family lived in Vermont and then Indiana while Keith drove a truck for North American Van Lines. The family moved to Lebanon, Missouri in 2009 and made their home.
Keith followed the Christian faith throughout the years.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and was an avid reader. He had a delightful sense of humor and had a tendency to be a little mischievous. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his ninety-one years.
