Kenneth Allen (Seymour)'s Obituary
Kenneth Wayne Allen, son of Denver Ray Allen and Barbara Jean (Murphy) Carpenter, was born May 17, 1953 in Greene County, Missouri. He departed this life on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in his home in Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty years, two months and one day.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Oleta Leonard, and brother Marvin “Pete” Whiteman.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Julie Samuel- Nelson of the state of Illinois, Joseph Royce Allen of Seymour, Missouri, Jeffrey Ray Allen and finance Theresa Reed of Rogersville, Missouri, Kenna LeAnn Harmon and husband Daniel Ray of Springfield, Missouri, Joshua Ryan Allen Kara Lynn Allen and Kayla LaRissa Allen all of West Plains, Missouri, and Kyle Wayne Allen and wife Chilena of Fulton, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; his siblings Shelia Rogers and husband Lee of Fairplay, Missouri, Jimmie Allen and wife Carolyn of Springfield, Missouri, Charles Allen and wife Lynn of Stockton, Missouri, and Jonny Whiteman of Seymour, Missouri.
Born and raised in the area, Kenny enjoyed working on cars and driving fast. When he was fourteen he began his career in trucking, after school he went to transmission school. In 1972, Kenny entered into the United States Marine Corp and faithfully serviced his country. When he returned he once again turned to the open road and continued to drive a truck. He loved to mechanic and take things apart to see how they worked.
Kenneth Wayne Allen was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the loving memories he created for those he loved.
It was Kenny's wish for Cremation. An Inturnment Service with full military honors will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. A memorial fund is established and donations may be left at Holman Howe Funeral Home in Seymour, Missouri or mailed to P.O. Box 366, Seymour, Missouri 65746.
