Kenneth Eugene Clark, son of James R. and Vida Mae Russell Clark, was born February 15, 1933, near Eldridge, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, August 19, 2013, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, six months, and four days.
On August 20, 1955, he was united in marriage to Lois June Blair, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, an infant, Randy Clark, and Kevin Dwayne Clark; and a brother, Rev. Chelbert Clark.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Lois, of the home; a daughter, Randa Vance, and her husband, David, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Clark, of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Hannah Vance, Kevin Clark II, and his wife, Aaron Marie, Tabatha Clark, Brandie Clark, Lacee Clark, Skylar Clark, and Sam Clark; four great-grandchildren, Nataleigh Clark, Lilly Clark, Lane Keen, and Kaylee Beard; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was born and raised in the Eldridge, Missouri community and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1951. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from March 11, 1953 until March 10, 1955, during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the military, he and Lois were soon married, and made their home in Lebanon. Kenneth earned his barbers license and began a career as a barber. For forty years he owned and operated the City Barber Shop in Lebanon and made many wonderful friends through his business.
Kenneth had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Pentecostal faith. He had attended the Taylor Avenue Full Gospel Church in Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He also enjoyed playing the piano for his family and for his own pleasure. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will remember him as a dedicated family man, and well known and respected barber, and a man of integrity.
