He served our country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked several years at Independent Stave in the finishing department, and then worked at Bill’s Farm and Home until his disability.
Kenny loved his church and his church family and was faithful to God and to Brownfield Baptist Church.
He loved the outdoors, and particularly bow and gun hunting with his hunting buddies, Bonnie Decker and Raymond Sellers. After his wife’s retirement, Kenny and Mary fished just about every day at a private lake owned by one of their special friends. Wherever you saw Kenny, Mary was always by his side. He was very proud of his son, Tommy, who was the light of his life. His favorite things were to get his grandchildren on his lap, and to take special naps with his grandson, Aiden. Family was very important to him, and he especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kenny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations to the Brownfield Baptist Church may be made through the funeral home.
