Kenneth James Follin (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Kenneth James Follin 72, of Humansville, passed away October 16, 2017 at the
home of a dear friend. He was born November 1, 1944 in Collins Mo. He was
the son of Thomas and Berniece (Burrell) Follin. Kenny joined the Army at a
young age. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He stayed in the Army Reserves
and later Naval Reserves. He was very proud of serving his country. He also
worked in different law enforcement jobs for several years. He was a Deputy
Sheriff in Saline, Polk, Dallas and St. Clair counties. He worked security for
several companies. He enjoyed working security at the different Branson
Theaters. Kenny was the current Commander at the Amvet post in Flemington
MO. He was honored to be a part of many Military funerals and Military
services honoring our country.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Bob and Tommy.
Kenneth is survived by his son Steve Follin and wife Beth of Springfield Mo.
Daughter Lisa Jean of Marshall MO. His Grandchildren Alexandra
Johnson and husband Eric, Stephonie Beeson and husband Ryan of St. louis.
Also, Jasyn Dailing, Mason Allison, Steven Edward Follin, Gabrielle and
Samantha Follin. Two Sisters Christine Vance (Bobby) of Springfield and Susan
Downs (Richard) of Grain Valley Mo and Sister-in-law Carla Follin and Dalton of
Humansville. Also Nephew Steven Thomas Follin and Companion Autumn who
he helped raise and treated like a Grandchild. Aunts JoAnn Moulder of Norman
Oklahoma and Laverne Burrell of Springfield. A host of Nieces, Nephews,
Cousins and many Friends.
The family would like to thank all the Amvet family who looked out for Kenny
through the years. Many took turns assisting him when he needed to go to the
VA in Mt Vernon or Doctor appointment in Springfield. A very special thanks to
Eileen Taylor, You have always been so good to help Kenny.
Kenneth was a Baptist by faith. He was baptized at a young age and was a
member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkland Mo.
Visitation for Kenneth J Follin will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, MO. Funeral Services will take place at 2 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, MO. Graveside services will take place at Freeman Hollsapple Cemetery.
