Kenneth J. Jenson (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Kenneth J. Jenson, 78, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on August 26, 2020 from cardiac arrest.
Ken (many knew him as Jerry), was born on February 20, 1942 to Louis and Ruth Jenson in Whittier, California. He attended Lakewood High School in Long Beach, California, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Mason. After graduation, he served in the Army in Germany for 4 years, then returned home to marry Carolyn in 1965. He became a police officer for the Seal Beach Police Department and later, a pilot for the Huntington Beach Police Department.
He moved his wife and three children, Edward, Julie, and Jennifer to Buffalo, Missouri in 1978, then became a farmer, a police officer and a teacher at the Louisburg Vo-Tech. His passion was law enforcement but loved teaching the students at the Vo-Tech. He retired from teaching in 2003 and spent most of retirement at Lake of the Ozarks where he enjoyed boating, the RV life, traveling to Hawaii, but most of all, his family was the highlight of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruth, and his brother, Donald. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, son Edward and wife Tammy, daughter Julie, daughter Jennifer and husband Stevie, grandchildren, Addison, Anna, Stephen, and Peyton, in-laws, Jim and Karen Mason and niece Rebecca Mason. He will greatly be missed by family and many great friends. Cremation rites will be accorded by the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
