Kenneth Keith's Obituary
Kenneth Leon Keith, son of Leonard and Ruth Letsinger Keith, was born September 6, 1939 in Douglas County, Missouri and departed this life January 22, 2012 in his home in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years, four months and sixteen days.
On March 26, 1965 he was united in marriage to Faye Hedrick and to this union two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Gene Johnston and a sister-in-law, Glenda Keith.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Faye of the home; two sons, Kevin Keith and his wife, Brenda of Mansfield, Missouri and Kendall Keith and his wife, Carrie of Fordland, Missouri; five grandchildren, Garret Keith and his wife Whitney, Justin Keith, Valentina Keith, Madison Keith and Kennedy Keith; three foster grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Keith and his wife, Janice and Dale Keith and his wife Cheryl of Mansfield, Missouri as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.
He attended Mansfield Schools and lived his entire life in the Mansfield area. He worked as a correctional guard at the Ozarks Correctional Facility for twenty-three years.
Kenneth made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a member of the Church of the Brethren. The last eight years he and Faye had attended the Mansfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and making “Keith’s crooked canes”. He also liked going to the coffee shops and visiting so he could catch up on the local “news”.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the many wonderful memories.
Services for Kenneth Keith will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 here in the Holman Howe Chapel,burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 23, 2012 in the funeral home from 6-7.
