Kenneth Percival's Obituary
Kenneth Eugene Percival, son of Edgar J. and Lera R. Jones Percival, was born January 18, 1944, near Montreal, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, December 14, 2008, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, ten months, and twenty-six days. On August 10, 1962, he was united in marriage to Netti Lynn Rambo, and to this union one son and one daughter were born. His parents preceded him in death. Kenneth is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Netti, of the home; a son, Michael Percival, and his wife, Kim, of Hartville, Missouri; a daughter, Susan Wood, and her husband, Victor, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob and Amber Percival, Cassandra and Victoria Wood; a brother, Johnny Percival, and his wife, Jo, of Blue Springs, Missouri; a sister, Cleo Holder, and her husband, Lester, of Camdenton, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host other relatives and many, many friends. He was born and raised in the Montreal area, and graduated from Camdenton High School in the Class of 1962. After he and Netti were married, they made their home in the Lake of the Ozarks area for a few years. In 1967, the family moved to Warrensburg, while Kenneth worked for the State of Missouri as a driver’s license examiner. In 1975, he graduated from the academy and began a career as a Missouri Highway Patrolman, and the family moved to Lebanon. Kenneth continued with the Patrol until retiring as a Lieutenant in 1999. Kenneth made his profession of faith in Christ early in his life and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon. In his spare time he enjoyed having coffee each morning at McDonald’s and visiting with his highway patrol and other friends. He also liked to go fishing and traveling, making motorcycle trips and later RV trips through his favorite States of Colorado, Louisiana and Mississippi. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life, and will remember him as a devoted family man, a courageous patrolman, and a true friend to many. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wed. December 17, 2008 at the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Percival Cemetery near Linn Creek, Missouri. Visitation is Tuesday evening 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
