Kenneth Sutton's Obituary
Kenneth Eugene Sutton, son of James William and Elsie McDaniel Sutton, was born April 17, 1938, in Phoenix, Arizona. He departed this life Sunday, April 20, 2008, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, and three days. On September 18, 1958, he was united in marriage to Bonnie D. Reid, and to this union three daughters and one son were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly Sutton; and a sister, Sue Sutton. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of almost fifty years, Bonnie, of the home; two daughters, Teri Hall, and her husband, Frank, and Susan Sutton, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Randy Sutton, of Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Missy Simpson, of Platte City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jordan, and his wife, Rena’, Kent, Kyle, Maranda, Robert, and Melissa; a great-grandchild, Reggie; two brothers, James Sutton, and Bill Sutton, both of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; a sister, Freda Shearers, of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Arizona and was raised in Lebanon, Missouri, where he graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1957. Soon after he and Bonnie were married, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and lovingly raised their family. Kenny worked for the Georgia Pacific Corrugated Box Company in Kansas City for over forty years. After retiring, he and Bonnie returned to Lebanon and Kenny worked for Hocker Oil Company for several years. In February, he gave his heart to God and soon after he was baptized. In his spare time he enjoyed going to auctions, playing the lottery, and watching sporting events of all kinds, especially the Kansas City Royals. He always liked decorating his house for Christmas each year. He had a fondness for animals and enjoyed having pets. He loved his family dearly, and never hesitated to make a sacrifice for them. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Kenny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
