Kenneth W Vanmeter (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Kenneth Wayne VanMeter, son of Norville Eugene and Minnie Angelina (Muff) VanMeter, was born on January 20, 1940 in Independence, Missouri. He departed this life, February 14, 2026 in Roach, Missouri. At the time of his passing, Kenneth was eighty-six years and twenty-five days of age.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne VanMeter; parents; brothers, Roy VanMeter and Walter VanMeter; and two sisters, Margret VanMeter and Betty Bartlett.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony & wife Oni VanMeter, Rany & wife Jodi VanMeter and Mark & Robin VanMeter; younger sister, Mary Bryan; and seven grandchildren, Cole & wife Jamie VanMeter, Andrew & wife Jessica VanMeter, Samantha & husband John Horn, Mark & wife Samantha VanMeter, Bobby Shanks, Tony & wife Renee Benson, and Tasha & husband Erik Ramos; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and would later graduate from Central High School. On December 1, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, Kenneth was united in marriage to Jeanne Coakley. Together they would share fifty-one years of marriage, until her passing in 2014.
Throughout his working years, Kenneth retired from General Motors and owned Hyper Sports Marine in Camdenton, Missouri. He was a jack of all trades, even building his house from the foundation up and also enjoyed to build cars and motor cycles.
In his spare time, he was a member of the Camper Club and Silver Dollar Square Dancing.
Kenneth made a profession of Catholic Faith.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
