Kenneth Wrinkle's Obituary
Kenneth Wrinkle, son of Virgil Truman and Elizabeth Jane Kincheloe Wrinkle, was born August 20, 1925, near Drynob, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, January 3, 2010, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years. On October 7, 1952, he was united in marriage to Betty D. Meads and they shared the last fifty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Fern Esther. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Betty, of the home; a daughter, Mary Beth Gilby, and her husband, Randall, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandsons, Travis Gilby, and his wife, Kasey, and Nathan Gilby, and his wife, Julie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Gracie and Riley; a sister, Cleo Vernon, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in the Drynob community and attended Capp School. He later attended Lebanon R-III Schools. Shortly after he and Betty were married, they made their home on their farm, near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their daughter. In addition to operating the farm, Kenneth worked in the produce business with his father, in construction at Fort Leonard Wood, and at boat factories and tire shops. Kenneth made his profession of faith and was baptized early in his life and was a member of Southern Heights Christian Church. In his spare time he enjoyed working on the farm, and fishing. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kenneth was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 7, 2010 at the Southern Heights Christian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
