Kenny Ray Moore (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Kenneth Ray “Kenny” Moore, son of Hansel and Letha Neasby Moore, was born May 17, 1949, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, March 11, 2016, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, nine months, and twenty-four days.
On July 8, 1967, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Weaver, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
His parents preceded him in death.
Kenny is survived by a daughter, Shelli Hufft, and her husband, Chad, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Jody Moore, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mason, Chase, and Hagar Hufft, and Sarah Moore; two sisters, Linda L. Moore, of Stoutland, Missouri, and Jean Gaines, and her husband, Bill, of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Linda S. Moore, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1967. He began working for Mid-America Dairy and was a maintenance supervisor for them until 1995. He then made his home in Colorado and was the maintenance/ plant engineer at Sinton Dairy in Colorado Springs until retiring in 2014. He returned to the Eldridge area and enjoyed his retirement years.
Kenny had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Lebanon Church of the Nazarene for a number of years. He had recently become a member of North Five Freewill Baptist Church.
He greatly enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing during in his younger years. He also liked riding dune buggies and had done some off road racing. He was the ultimate handyman and enjoyed “do it yourself” projects. He liked to always be busy and lived bigger than life. He was a friendly person and was loved by everyone he met. He was very fond of his pets, and particularly his dog “Halle”. His family was very dear to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Kenny was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
