Kermit Riley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Kermit Ray Riley, son of James Radford and Shirley Williams Riley, was born July 6, 1957, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, July 28, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years and twenty-two days.
On January 23, 1993, he was united in marriage to Mary Ruth West, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mary, of May 8, 2017.
Kermit is survived by a daughter, Margaret Lancaster and her husband Dalton of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Chris West, Aaron Riley, and Patrick Riley, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Coraline Lancaster, Lyra Lancaster, and Jenson West; two brothers, David Riley and Timothy Riley, both of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri community and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1975. After he and Mary were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their family. Kermit worked as an auto mechanic for Walmart for thirteen years, and then worked for Douglas Auto Repair for the last several years. He also did small engine repair on the side.
He enjoyed playing games on his cell phone. He had a quiet, private personality but always had a positive attitude. He loved his family dearly and particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Kermit was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Services will be Saturday, Aug. 6 at 4 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A visitation will follow.
A Memorial has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
