Kevin Dampier's Obituary
Kevin Neil Dampier, son of Berton H. and Patricia Jo Alexander Dampier, was born November 2, 1960, in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life Thursday, April 6, 2006, in his home, near Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of forty-five years, five months, and four days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rose and Perry Alexander; and his paternal grandparents, Edna Stroup and Ernie Dampier. Kevin is survived by two daughters, Cassi Corrin and Savanna Nichole Dampier, both of Milan, Missouri; his parents, Bert and Pat Dampier, of Camdenton, Missouri; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John David and Lesa Dampier, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Thomas Brian and Lois Dampier, of Columbia, Missouri, and Jason Kyle and Connie Dampier, of Camdenton, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; two uncles, Ernie Dampier, and his wife, Bee, of Camdenton, Missouri, and David Alexander, and his wife, Wara, of Pleasanton, California; three aunts, Elizabeth Willink, and her husband, Donald, of Madison, Wisconsin, Mary Kahre, of Lockwood, Missouri, and Barbara Rumburg, and her husband, Joe, of Rio Rico, Arizona; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in the Kansas City, Missouri area and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in the Class of 1979. He then earned his Associates of Applied Science Degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. He worked as a landscape artist and operated Dampier Hauling and Landscaping for most of his adult years. In his spare time he enjoyed trout fishing, riding his four-wheeler, relaxing at the creek, and hunting for arrow heads. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having quality time with his daughters. Kevin was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and nephew, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1- 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations to an education frund for his daughters may be made through the funeral home.
