Kevin Horn's Obituary
Kevin Don Horn, son of Donald Eugene and Sharon Kay (Jones) Horn, was born July 6, 1966, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in Kabul Nursing Home, in Cabool, Missouri, at the age of forty-three years, ten months and five days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; a niece Kayla Horn; and two cousins, Jonathon Dillinger and Vince Jones.
Kevin is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Ellen Horn of Grovespring, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles, Doyle Jones, Donna Hightower and Jackie Mayne all of Grovespring, Missouri, Ella Mae Leavens and Arlene Pruitt, both of the State of California, and Elaine Horn, of the State of Michigan; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Born and raised in the Grovespring area, he attended the Grovespring School and graduated from Hartville High School in the Class of 1984. He later worked driving a truck until his unfortunate accident.
Kevin had made his profession of faith in Christ, and his faith became an important part of his life. He cared for his family and over the last several years strove to have a purposeful life, touching the heart of others in a way only he could.
He loved the outdoors and in earlier years hunting and fishing gave him great pleasure.
Kevin was a beloved brother, uncle, and nephew, and was a caring friend. The fate and twists of life that were given and his example of strength and courage will be held dear by all those that knew and loved him.
Graveside services for Kevin were Thursday morning, May 13 in Mt. Zion (Cuba) Cemetery, at 10 AM.
