Kevin James Mensik (Seymour)'s Obituary
Kevin James Mensik, son of John Thomas and Catherine Mahoney Mensik, was born October 14, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois and departed this life on October 19, 2018 in his home in Seymour, Missouri at the of sixty-two years and five days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy; two sisters, Susie and Kathy (Joe Bria).
Kevin is survived by his companion of 30 years, Noreen Knapczyk, of the home; five children, Jennifer Leone(Nicholas), Michael Quinlan(Charlotte), John Quinlan(Jenni), Bill Quinlan and Casey Marie Knapczyk-Gomez(Brian); eight grandchildren, Eric Michael, Nicholas, Nicollette, Gianna, Kailee, Christopher, Breanna and Nicholas; two brothers, Patrick Mensik(Sharon), and Tim Mensik(Peggy); two sisters, Maureen Klick(Ray) and Peggy Mensik: as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Chicago and was of the Catholic faith. Kevin was a heavy equipment mechanic and enjoyed in his spare time working on tractors and cars. In 1995, Kevin, Noreen, Bill and Casey Marie moved to Seymour, Missouri, where they opened the Crossroads Gas Station and Chicago Style Hot Dogs and Beef Sandwiches. Kevin was a loving companion, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We will miss him dearly but will hold on to those memories of special times we had together.
