Kevin Scott's Obituary
Kevin Bueal Scott, son of Bueal Bert and Jessie L. Hall Scott, was born December 19, 1958, in Granite City, Illinois. He departed this life Saturday, May 20, 2006, in his home, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of forty-seven years, five months, and one day. On May 6, 2001, he was united in marriage to Kathy Lynn Begley, and together they shared the last ten years. He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Tasha; and a brother, Charles K. Scott. Kevin is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; four sons, Tyson Scott, of St. Charles, Missouri, Steven Paul Pendergrass, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Daniel Wayne Pendergrass and Christopher Pendergrass, both of Lebanon, Missouri; eight grandchildren; his mother, Jessie Scott, of Joplin, Missouri; a brother, Kelly Bert Scott, of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Lynette Adkins, of Pierce City, Missouri, and Reginia Elaine Lambert, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Illinois and was raised in the St. Charles, Missouri area, where he graduated from high school. He then attended Orchard Farm Schools for two years. Throughout the years, he worked as a carpenter doing building construction. He and Kathy had made their home in the Phillipsburg community for the last few years. Kevin made his profession of faith in Christ at the age of twelve and attended the Oasis of Love Church in Lebanon. He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting, fishing, and camping. He was very artistic and enjoyed doing pencil and ink drawings. He also liked collecting arrowheads. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them. Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006, in the Hutchason Cemetery, near Licking. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
