Kim Duckett (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Kim Arden Duckett, son of Lawrence Joel and Nano Adkins Duckett, was born October 11, 1949, in the State of Ohio. He departed this life Saturday, February 14, 2015, in his home, near Stoutland, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, four months, and three days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Kim Arden Duckett, Jr.
Kim is survived by a sister, Holly Tarczon, of Traverse City, Michigan; five nieces and nephews; a special friend, Margaret Viles, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Ohio, and was raised in Texas and California, where his father worked as a rocket scientist. Kim served his country faithfully in the United States Army from August 25, 1969, until November 2, 1970, during the Vietnam War. He then returned to California, where he made his home, and worked as a carpenter doing home construction. In 1997, he moved to his farm near Stoutland, Missouri.
Kim was raised in a Catholic family, and believed in God.
He was a noted photographer and liked taking pictures. He enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, and collecting coins. He had been an excellent bowler and had won many trophies and prizes for his high scores, including several 300 games. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his dogs, which were very special to him.
Kim was a loving brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
