Kirby W Kelley (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Kirby Wayne Kelley, Sr. son of the late Edward and Maude (Wilson) Kelley, was born on July 23, 1933 in Harrison, Arkansas, and departed this life on March 10, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 84 years, 7 months, and 16 days of age.
Kirby was raised and attended school in Harrison Arkansas. He moved to Iowa as a young man. He was united in marriage to Lola (Suzie) Shipley on April 8, 1971 in Cambridge, Illinois. Kirby worked at ALCOA Aluminum for 35 years. After retiring, he and Suzie moved to Buffalo, MO. He enjoyed making his yard beautiful, listening to Bluegrass and Country music, and cooking for his family. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather and had a great sense of humor.
Kirby was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Hubert; two sisters, Bonnie Pope and Clydine Kelley; and one daughter, Valerie Kelley. He is survived by his wife Suzie of the home; two sons, Kirby Jr. (Erin) Kelley and Curt Kelley; four daughters, Teresa (Mike) Petersen of Davenport, IA, Gina (Richard) Atwood of Parkview, IA, Demi (Jack) Chick of Davenport, IA, and Rhonda (Gio) Reyes of Davenport, IA; one sister, Willodean (Jim) Pogue; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
