After he and Sue were married they moved to the farm and operated their dairy throughout the years. Lane had made his profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was very devoted to his family and centered his life around them and the farm, and loved spending time visiting with his friends. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and giving people a hard time. He was known for his practical jokes. Many referred to him as “Mr. Fix It” due to the fact that he would not discard anything, knowing he might need it to fix something. Lane was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, in the Oak Grove Church, north of Norwood. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
