Laqueta Jane McCarty, age 71, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away early Monday morning, October 22, 2012 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Laqueta was born on October 2, 1941 in Sentinel, Missouri the daughter of Johnny Melvin Storment and Nola Mae (Seamster) Storment.
She was married to Leon Lipe, to this union was born five children Eddie, Ricky, Kenny, Denny, and Cheree.
Laqueta was the owner and operator of Country House Restaurant for many years in Bolivar. Laqueta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her world revolved around loving and caring for her grandchildren.
Laqueta was united in marriage to Gene McCarty. They enjoyed many good years together until his passing.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, two sons Kenny, Denny, and her daughter Cheree.
She is survived by her two sons; Ricky Lipe of Bolivar, Missouri, Eddie Lipe of Springfield, Missouri, 4 sisters; Trevea Chance of Kansas City, Missouri, Eva Dore of Versailles, Missouri, Sheryl Brown of Bolivar, Missouri, Sue Storment of Bolivar, Missouri, 4 brothers; Larry Storment and his wife Judy, of Colorado, Robert Storment of Dora, Missouri, Terry Storment and his wife Sue of Dunnegan, Missouri, and Gerald Storment of Fair Play, Missouri, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
