Larry R. Allison (Humansville)'s Obituary
Larry Allison, 75, of Humansville, MO passed away Friday, February 10, 2016 at Big Springs Health Facility in Humansville, MO.
Larry was born June 18, 1941 in Niles, KS to Clifford and Evelyn Nunn Allison. Growing up, he took a great interest in cars, especially Oldsmobiles. This passion that Larry was given stayed with him his entire life as he would buy and tinker with many different cars. His passion for engines was not limited to cars, however. Larry took great pride in his lawn, and even more pride in his lawn mower. He kept his lawn mower in such pristine condition that when he took the six-year-old mower to be serviced, the man who serviced it thought he was unloading a new mower.
Larry was also a gifted pool player. When friends would come to his house, they would often see his many trophies that he and his wife, Sherry, would win from tournaments. The two enjoyed playing with each other very much, and loved to find arrogant players that they could give a dose of humility.
Larry was a kind and tender-hearted man. His sarcastic tone and dry sense of humor were often lost on people, but those closest to him knew when he was joking. His smile and quick wit will not soon be forgotten.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Sherry, as well as his son, Larry “Scott” Allison, and his grandson, Austin Allison. He is also survived by his brothers; Clifford “Eugene” Allison, Jerald Allison, and Denis “Rodger” Allison, as well as his sisters; Beverly Vedensek and Carolyn Prochazka.
