Larry Card's Obituary
Larry Lee Card, son of Chancey and Edna Card, was born March 21, 1941 in Hampton, Iowa. He departed this life Monday, January 29, 2007 in his home near Mansfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-five years, ten months, and eight days. On April, 1 1981, Larry was united in marriage to Evelyn Lucille Mead and together they shared twenty wonderful years until her passing on October 1, 2001. Larry was also preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by four daughters, Sherry Kuhn, of Mansfield, Missouri, Lori Card, of Des Moines, Iowa, Penny Loch, of Springfield, Missouri, and Carol Lobdell, of Mansfield, Missouri; two sons, Ron Lee, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Gary Lee, of the state of Iowa; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. In 1980, Larry moved to Mansfield, Missouri from his childhood home of Hampton, Iowa. Upon moving to Mansfield, Larry worked as a truck driver, made many new friends, and enjoyed his life together with Evelyn. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed deer hunting, gun collecting and woodworking, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. Larry was a loving father, grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Mnasfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
