Larry D. Cress' Obituary
Larry Dale Cress, son of Jasper and Vera Woods Cress, was born November 3, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa. He departed this life Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years, five months, and one day. His parents preceded him in death. Larry is survived by two brothers, Steven Cress, and his wife, Glenna, and Mike Cress, and his wife, Linda, all of Conway, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from high school there. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force for three years. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he moved to Missouri and made his home in the Conway community. He had worked as a truck driver and as a security guard for Tracker Marine in Lebanon for several years. In his spare time he liked being outdoors where his favorite activity was camping. He enjoyed having time to himself, and liked watching movies, especially westerns, sci-fi, and war stories. Larry will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007, in the Good Springs Cemetery, near Niangua, Missouri. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials may be made through the funeral home.
