Larry Dale Blattel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Larry Dale Blattel, son of Theon and Alta Rogers Blattel, was born December 21, 1952, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, December 6, 2010, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months, and fifteen days.
On September 20, 1986, he was united in marriage to Victoria Lynne Jones, and they shared the last twenty-four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jo Ann; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eurban and Louise Jones.
Larry is survived by his wife, Vicky, of the home; two daughters, Amanda and Amber Blattel, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, James Jones, of Lebanon, Missouri; a foster granddaughter, Chantel Jones, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Wayne Blattel, and his wife, Lois, and Billy Blattel, and his wife, Janie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters, Pauline Thomas, Shirley Blue, and her husband, Buddy, Mary Bruhn, and Louetta Cromer, and her husband, Bud, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He lived most of his life in the Lebanon area. After he and Vicky were married, they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their children. Larry worked for Lowe Boats for twenty-four years, and then worked for Bass Tracker for eight years.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting, fishing, camping, and setting trout lines. He also liked to help and instruct others in how to fish. He always liked having children around and enjoyed making people laugh.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
