Larry Wayne McGuire, son of John Blue and Gracie Ann Looney McGuire, was born August 3, 1949 in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, February 7, 2014 in his home, Linn Creek, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, six months, and four days.
On April 18, 1968, Larry was united in marriage to Donna Sue Long and to this union five children were born.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna McGuire; a son, Robbie McGuire; a sister, Betty Miller; and three brothers, Dub, Johnny, and Gary McGuire.
He is survived by his children, Tommy McGuire of Linn Creek, Missouri, Melisa Hunter and Tom Ford of Lebanon, Missouri, Cody McGuire and wife Christina of Camdenton, Missouri, and Jake McGuire of Camdenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Andrew White, Dalton Hunter, Ivy Rush, Kirstie Hunter, Dakota McGuire, Madalynn McGuire, Declan McGuire, Andrew McGuire; his siblings, James McGuire of Lebanon, Missouri, Tuck McGuire and wife Violet of Camdenton, Missouri, Crystal Burns and husband Paul of Decaturville, Missouri, Gene McGuire and wife Evelyn of Camdenton, Glen McGuire and wife Pat of Camdenton, Frances Stamper and husband Larry of Montreal, Missouri, Davey McGuire and wife Debbie of Montreal, Missouri, Linda Leffert and husband Carl of Camdenton, Wanda McDaniel and husband Danny of Camdenton, Missouri, and Margie Manley of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Camdenton and worked as a truck driver for Modern Sanitation for many years until his health forced him to retire.
In his spare time, Larry enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
Larry was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many memories he has created for his family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
