Larry Pursley (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Larry Wayne Pursley, 76 of Stockton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri, with loved ones by his side. Larry accepted Christ at a young age.
He was born on August 22, 1946, the oldest child of Lawrence Pursley and Ethelyn Hopkins Pursley
Larry served 18 years in the United States Coast Guard and 6 years in the United States Navy. Larry and Rosemary Bland were married while in the service. They had a host of foster children for many years.
Larry was a volunteer at the Korth Center in Stockton. He made many friends there and each one was a blessing to him. He was a delegate for the Silver Haired Legislature for Cedar County and enjoyed all of his adventures while being able to do that.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosemary, and sister Evelyn Shook. He is survived by his brother Raymond (Carol) Pursley of Bolivar, sister Dixie Smith (Ralph) of Humansville, four nieces, one nephew and a host of great nieces, nephews and many friends. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Burial will take place at a later date at Enon Cemetery in Wishart.
