Larry Ray's Obituary
Larry Ray Reynolds, Sr., son of Willie Edward and Martha Ruth Shepard Reynolds, was born, January 29, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, November 9, 2007 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty years, nine months and eleven days. On January 4, 1999 in Kansas City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Michelle Renee Waisner. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Reynolds; a brother, Anthony Reynolds, and a son, Larry Ray Reynolds, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Michelle of the home; his father, Willie Reynolds, Sr.; a sister, Deborah Mack of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Rene’ Reynolds and his wife, Rosetta, of Kansas City, Missouri and Patrick Reynolds of Austin, Texas; six children, Brandy Reynolds of Kansas City, Missouri, Dakotah Reynolds of Austin, Texas, Mackenzie Reynolds, Emmitt Reynolds, T.J. Reynolds and Karmello Reynolds all of the home; three step-children, Nichole Rogers and Blake Rogers both of Austin, Texas and Kristen Irving of the home; three grandchildren, Dawna’ Reynolds, Ver’Nisha Reynolds and Brandon Reynolds all of Kansas City, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Nelia Ethington; a brother-in-law, Brent Ethington and his wife, Laura, of Sterling, Nebraska; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Larry lived most of his life in the Kansas City area and graduated from high school there. He worked as a chef, drove a school bus and at one time owned a janitorial service. He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area five years ago, where he worked for various restaurants and a nursing home. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Camdenton. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, reading (especially newspapers) and watching television court programs. He enjoyed football and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. He impacted many lives and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, in the New Life Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:30p.m. until service time. Servoces are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
