Larry Rector (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Larry Dale Rector, son of James, Sr. “Red” and Dorothy Helen Webb Rector, was born October 20, 1948 in his home, Camden County, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, August 29, 2016 in his home, at the age of sixty-seven years, ten months, and nine days.
On November 7, 1970, Larry was united in marriage to Linda McMillin, and to this union two children were born.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Rector, II.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Linda, of the home; his children, Julie Jenkins and husband Scot, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Jesse Rector, of Camdenton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Julie Glass and husband Suawek, of Berlin Germany, Jonas Rector of Camdenton, and Nicole Jenkins and Mackenzie Jenkins, both of Camdenton; his siblings, Carolyn Seaton and husband Harvey, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Lee Rector and wife Jeannie, of Macks Creek, Missouri; his sister-in-law, Gerry Rector, of Camdenton, Missouri; his dog, Diesel; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Camden County and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1966. In 1970, Larry started his career at Dawson, which later became Modine, and retired as a Quality Control Supervisor after thirty-six years of service.
Larry had accepted Christ as his Savior and attended Camdenton First Assembly of God Church whenever possible.
Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Time spent with his family was very important to him and he truly cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Allee-Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to his grandchildren’s education fund and may be left at the funeral home.
