Larry Reed's Obituary
Larry George Reed, son of John William and Lenora Sue Brown Reed was born November 28, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life on December 17, 2011, in St. John?s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years and nineteen days. On January 15, 1971, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Coday and to this union a son was born. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by his son, Bryan Reed of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Joyce Cantrell and her husband Sonny of Springfield, Missouri; a niece, Mary Cantrell and a nephew, Mike Cantrell; a special friend, Joann Freeze of West Plains, Missouri; as well as many friends. Larry lived all of his life in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1966. He served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He drove a truck for many years before going to work for Prime Incorporated where he worked for 10 years. Larry was of the Methodist faith. In his spare time he loved fishing, hunting, camping and reading. He also enjoyed spending time in the coffee shops visiting with friends. Larry was a loving father, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will remember all of the wonderful memories.
